History of St. Paul’s UCC Church in New Oxford
In September, 2022, St. Paul’s celebrated it’s 200 anniversary, still worshipping on the same lot where the United Church was erected in 1822. The Reverend Tom Lush stepped down in March, 2023, and the church continued for a year with the support of faithful supply ministers.

St. Paul’s United Church of Christ is a small family size congregation that is seeking revitalization and the discernment of God’s direction for our congregation. We believe that there is another “World,” also known as the Kingdom of God.

Dinner Church
Dinner Church is a monthly, informal, worship service, held the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. A main meat is served with everyone contributing a side dish or dessert.
Music Ministry
Music has always been an important part of St. Paul’s. The congregation enjoys singing the older hymns and have learned some of the contemporary songs as well. The choir has to take a break during COVID but is starting to be back with weekly anthems.
Outreach
There is an endowment committee of five that meets and decides on outreach. The congregation is asked for suggestion of outreach and mission opportunities.
